Joe Pannkuk began investing in real estate in 2000. Since then, he has experienced many different areas of the industry, including new construction, renovations, real estate sales, mortgage origination, long-term rentals, vacation rentals, and occasional renovation or "flip" projects.
Real estate investing also runs in his family. Growing up in the Lakeville area, Joe spent summer breaks painting rental properties owned by his grandfather. Those early experiences gave him a firsthand introduction to the realities of property ownership long before he purchased investment properties of his own.
Today, Joe's real estate portfolio includes long-term rental properties and vacation rentals, along with occasional renovation projects. His professional experience gives him a unique perspective because he has seen real estate from multiple sides — investor, property owner, mortgage professional, real estate professional, renovator, and educator.
Joe has a passion for teaching people about real estate and particularly enjoys discussing what actually happens behind the scenes.
Away from real estate, Joe lives in Lakeville with his wife, Caarin, and their two daughters. He volunteers with the Lakeville Fire Department and works professionally as a Branch Manager/Loan Officer at LoanDepot.
